We've got it covered!
We believe that the purchase of a Fleming Yacht whether new or previously cruised is a significant decision and investment and our commitment in the process is to advise you the best we can on that purchase and even to advise against it if we think that a Fleming isn’t right for you, although it usually is!
The Initial process
The process usually starts with a sit down meeting where we discuss how you plan to use the boat. We can then discuss the options that most suit how and where you will use the boat based on our extensive experience and personal use and create a build list that best reflects your planned use.
Yacht Construction commences
Once the build list is created, contracts signed and deposit paid the process starts at the Tung Hwa facility in Taiwan who have built exclusively for Fleming Yachts for decades with the onsite Fleming management team overseeing every element of the build. The yard send us weekly progress photographs which show you every aspect of your new yacht in construction.
Shipment to Europe
On completion at Tung Hwa, your new yacht is loaded as deck cargo and shipped to a European port of choice. We prefer the vessel is shipped to either of our Southampton, UK or Palma, Mallorca offices but can also be shipped to your local port if required. On arrival the yacht is met by the Fleming Europe team who check over the yacht for any potential issues and prepare for the initial launch from the ship to a local marina. We keep you fully updated with this process and handle all the necessary importation and customs requirements for you to make it a hassle free process.
Once the yacht is unloaded and secured in a marina the preparation and commissioning starts. After unwrapping the vessel and giving it its initial clean the yacht is thoroughly inspected and tested down to every last switch and pump for correct operation, repeatedly. At the same time we install the navigation and entertainment systems along with the yachts tender, liferaft and any other non factory options you may have ordered. On completion of the commissioning phase the fully outfitted yacht is then sea trialled to shake down any potential niggles before a final clean up, polish and handover.
The handover is ideally spread out over a week or so, we initially like to spend a couple of days at the dock with you showing you through all the systems on the boat and explaining every element of the yachts operation. We then venture out on a mini cruise with you where we can put all of this training into practical use and run the boat for several days encouraging you to take as much control as you are comfortable with but the knowledge that we are on hand to explain things or assist where needed. There is no time limit to the hand over and training and we will spend as much time as you want until you are completely happy to run the yacht by yourselves. You will receive every member of the teams mobile telephone numbers and are encouraged to call us at any time should you need support or assistance.
Now you have taken delivery and using the yacht as intended but our relationship has only just begun, we are here to support you throughout your ownership of your Fleming and will assist with as much or as little as you want. Our services are not limited and we have extensive experience throughout Europe in Guardiennage, servicing, upgrading, refitting and repairing all aspects of a Fleming. Our dedicated team are here for you whatever it is you need.
